Support in the calculation of the corporate carbon footprint according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol for a kids furniture manufacturer
In addition to the accounting of the mandatory Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions as per the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the project focused on the identification and recording of the relevant Scope 3 emissions.
Objective / Service applied
brands & values reviewed the historical data and conducted a Scope 3 screening to identify the relevant Scope 3 categories. Due to the client's broad product portfolio, emphasis was placed on purchased materials and transport.
Solution / Project results
In order to simplify the future calculation of the corporate carbon footprint and to enable a subsequent external validation of the results, emission factors were stored in an (Excel) tool.
